Alamo Women’s Club

“The Alamo Women’s Club (AWC) was formed in 1916, and meetings were originally held in member’s homes.  In 1952, one of our member’s provided land for a permanent home, after which our clubhouse was built by our own members and their husbands.”  We are passionate about making our community a better place for everyone to live, learn and thrive.

Federated Women of Upper Napa 

Valley:  

Federated Women of Upper Napa Valley was originally founded in 1905, as the Women’s Improvement Club of St. Helena and was dedicated to the goal of improving and beautifying the town of St. Helena.  Today, our club continues to promote goodwill and raise money to improve life for the citizens of our beautiful valley.

GFWC Danville Women’s Club:  

The GFWC Danville Women’s Club is well over a century old, and has tirelessly dedicated its time, energy, and volunteer efforts to raise funds for charitable organizations.  The club also has an annual scholarship program for deserving high school seniors to assist with their college expenses.

GFWC Fountaineers Ladies Club:  

The GFWC Fountaineers Club is located in the Central Valley and is excited to connect with local seniors to help meet their various needs with our durable medical equipment lending closet, volunteering for meals as well as writing encouraging letters and sending small gifts to house bound seniors.  Another focus of our club is multi-generation community service projects; including trash pick-up and public landscape beautification.

Lafayette Suburban Junior Women’s Club:  

We were founded in 1953, by Lafayette resident Betsey Young, her motto, “helping people who need it most” is the continued spirit of our drive through our fun events like our annual Rummage in the Fall and Kitchen Tour in the Spring, for the purpose of raising money for our beneficiaries and throughout the year we also offer countless hours of service including sewing pillows for hospital patients, making blankets for foster children as well as providing the holiday gifts and school supplies and writing cards for seniors.  In the last 18 years alone we have raised over $700,000 and dispersed these funds to over 45 non-profit groups.

GFWC Martinez Women’s Club:  

The Martinez Woman’s Club is the oldest continuously operating service club in Martinez, CA.  We began in 1911, just two days after California woman got the right to vote.  Those women who worked so hard on that campaign started our club.  We are small in numbers of members but large in what we accomplish each club year.

Moraga Junior Women’s Club:

Orinda Woman’s Club:  

We are a community-based organization focused on addressing urgent and ongoing needs of families in both Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.  Our club has a long history of community involvement and enrichment in which we organize fundraisers, exciting community-building events, fun social get-togethers, which includes our major fundraiser, the Festival of Trees, held annually the third Thursday in November, which includes a dazzling fashion show, delicious luncheon, silent auction, drawings, themed baskets and more.

Anderson Valley Unity Club:  

The purpose of Anderson Valley Unity Club is to provide meaningful volunteer community service; encourage local youth through scholarships and grants; promote literacy by supporting the lending library; and support community beautification with the help of the Garden Section of our club.  All members are encouraged to participate in fundraisers and service projects.  Our club meets in Boonville, CA, in the Dining Room of the fairgrounds, October – June, on the first Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm, please join us.

GFWC Clayton Valley Woman’s Club

Our club was founded and federated in 1973, we are a group of community-minded members of all ages from the Clayton/Concord area and beyond.  We provide community service through volunteering and fundraising and, in so doing, make long-lasting friendships.  The funds we raise are distributed to local non-profit organizations, and a scholarship is awarded to a Diablo Valley College Associate Arts graduate who is continuing her education at a four-year college.

GFWC Dublin/San Ramon Women’s 

Club:  

The 75 members GFWC Dublin/San Ramon Women’s Club serving the Tri Valley for over 55 years, was recently awarded the Mayor’s Legacy Award for Dublin, CA, which is an honor bestowed to a club who gives continuously to the community through projects such as, back pack distributions, chemo pillows for cancer patients, and blankets for kids in shelters, etc.  Our club awards grants to community organizations that provide help for citizens with issues such as Cancer, Down Syndrome, Teen Issues, Homelessness, and Child Trafficking, as well as awarding scholarships to graduating seniors.

GFWC Past President’s Assembly:  

The GFWC Past President’s Assembly of Mount Diablo District is a club of 24 past presidents and we meet four times a year.  Our meeting dates are on the 5th Thursdays of the year.  We accomplish “Done in a Day” projects by collecting money, gift cards, etc. that we bring to our meetings and then forward to the respective recipients, such as USO, Seeds of Faith, etc.

The Woman’s Club of Lodi, Inc.:  

Our Club is celebrating 113 years of service, we have a monthly luncheon held in our club house with approximately 90 women in attendance.  Our club house was built in 1922 and dedicated in 1923 by many California Clubs.  The Woman’s Club of Lodi, Inc. is an active club with many events, and many donations to local non-profit organizations.
